Oatmeal Makes Some Friends

It’s no secret that I am a big fan of a huge bowl of oatmeal in the morning. The concoctions don’t come out lookin’ too good, but they are filling, tasty and a wonderful opportunity to add all sorts of things that are good for you. I add fruit, Muscle Milk, peanut butter – whatever! Enter two more contenders:

Both were obtained on our recent trip to Trader Joe’s (which, by the way, we took because of a reader recommendation. Thanks, Kel!) I was eager to put them both to use, and made an oatmeal bowl to incorporate them:

This mixture included:

*Oatmeal
*Frozen mixed berries
*Muscle Milk Protein Powder
*Flax Seeds
*Soy and Flax Clusters
*Almond Milk

Great success! These two recent additions add a nice texture that I am definitely a fan of, and even more health benefits! I was full for such a long time, too.
