Yesterday, I promised that I would get up this morning and complete the Minka Kelly treadmill workout. That was my intention, but when my alarm went off at 5:30am this morning, my body had other intentions. It was tired and sore and requested a day off. Since I have to live with my body almost all the time, I obliged and agreed to a compromise. I didn’t get up and head to the gym, because my muscles need to recover, but I didn’t hit the snooze button either. I got up and did some MUCH needed stretching, while catching up on some blog post-writing and reading!
A huge benefit for me of waking up early to work out is starting my day off on a positive note with energy. I feel so much better when I don’t roll out of bed and have to transition RIGHT into getting ready for work. So on that note, it has been quite a successful morning. On to my coffee and amazing oatmeal bowl, full of protein powder (Muscle Milk), strawberries, Almond Milk and Flax Seed!
