Start Me Up

My workout today started out right. With a Glee song. It was a mash-up of “Start Me Up” and “Livin’ On a Prayer.” It energized me to no end and I was rarin’ to go, even though I decided to take it a bit easy today. Most of my workouts this week have been pretty intense, so instead of taking the morning completely off (which we almost slept in and did!) I decided to engage in some light cardio and core work. I trucked out 25 minutes on my fave gym apparatus, the Arc Trainer. Then I headed into the studio and did a series of planks, yoga stretches and crunches. It was refreshing and invigorating – perfect for a Friday morning.

I returned home to finish the remainder of my Oats in a Jar from yesterday (I made too much!) but also added a side of chocolate-chip VitaTop for extra protein and vitamins. It was particularly delicious with coffee. Since Dan poured my coffee this morning, he did it with a sweet message encouraging me on a big meeting I have at work today:

Gotta love coffee that’s served with a side of love! Warm and fuzzies all around. And a warm and fuzzy helping me get ready:

TGIF!

Happy Friday!
