Speaking of Inspiration

As I pushed through the torture of Jillian Michaels’ “No More Trouble Zones” this afternoon, I really started thinking about the sources of inspiration in my life. There are many, and can be found in many unlikely places, but the best kind of inspiration in my book is the sort that is related to you.

Incidentally, today is the perfect day to celebrate one of my top motivational influences … my sister (in law). Today is her birthday! Happy birthday, Kris, to one of the most inspirational people I know. She is such a hard-worker, and has just completed a masters degree at Boston University! She plays the flute beautifully and dedicates herself to practicing and perfecting her art. On the side, she is a dedicated runner (and will be participating in a very exciting 9K race at Fenway coming up soon! If you have any extra money, please consider donating to her cause here). For all these reasons (and many more), Kristyn is a highly animating presence in my life.

She has been …

A gorgeous bridesmaid at Dan’s and my wedding:

A devoted fellow sports fan…

A glamorous travel companion:

A wonderfully wacky sister to my amazing husband:

And one of the best friends I could have ever asked for, marriage to her brother or not …

So, Happy Birthday to one of the best I know … thank you so much for all you do to inspire me, make me laugh and help complete my life. I love you!
