So you might have noticed a recent
obsession trend of mine. It comes in many forms, as seen here and here. I know I’m a little late to the party, ’cause cupcakes have been hip for quite a while now, but I’m just chiming in and I have to say, I find making (and eating!) cupcakes quite amazing. This time, I decided to take on another booze-centered treat … this time, Margarita Cupcakes! I went here for the recipe and got to work.
My favorite part about this recipe was that it called for making twice as much margarita mixture as you needed for the cupcakes and enjoying it on the side over ice, which I willingly did 🙂 It made the process go by much faster and feel more festive.
As usual, if booze and cupcakes are involved, Penny is there to scout out prime gobbling opportunities (luckily she didn’t get a hold of any of this batter – I’m not sure how doggies deal with tequila, but I’m guessing it’s not something to test out)
While my finished product didn’t turn out EXACTLY like the ones from my inspiration website, I still think they were pretty tasty and beautiful!
These beauties were the perfect compliment to a Mexican themed dinner party we hosted. We also served a Mexican grilled deep dish pizza with chorizo and a pepper medley. Delish!
