There are two staples in my every day food life. A bowl of oatmeal in the late morning (helps with milk supply, of course!) and an Iced Almond Milk Latte in the afternoon (key for keeping up that waning mom energy!) Since I cook my oats with Almond Milk, this all means that I go through a LOT of Almond Milk. I haven’t had a drink of “cow’s milk” in quite some time. It makes me feel a little bit queasy and I honestly prefer the taste of Unsweetened Almond Milk. It’s milder. So I was thrilled when Blue Diamond sent me their new Almond Breeze Almondmilk Coconutmilk Vanilla Unsweetened flavor to try.
Absolutely scrumptious. You might wonder how I even taste the milk with that layer of peanut butter, blueberries, banana and cinnamon on my oatmeal, but it turns out? I can! The new flavor is still beautifully subtle, like the other flavors I’m used to, but it also carries just a tropical hint of coconut that really shines through in both my favorite Almond Milk-centric items.
I also contest that when I make my oatmeal with Almond Milk versus water … it keeps me full for a longer period of time. Could be a mental thing, but I’ll stick with what works!
